New Baby Fairy Sculpture

March 26, 2009 - Leave a Response

Meet Kelana! She’s my newest fairy baby and my largest sculpture yet. All curled up, she’s approximately 6.5″ (stretched out, she would be about 9″).  Being 7 months pregnant, I suppose I have babies on my mind :^)

I will be entering Kelana in a juried art show at the Arvada Center in Arvada, Colorado. I’m excited and nervous at the same time! Lol!  The world definitely needs more fairy art in it :^)

Come Play at The Fairy Ring!

spirit-of-the-night-grimshaw-fairy-art-print-12 Hello Everyone!

I hope Spring is finding you well and energized. I have started a new forum on ning.com called The Fairy Ring. It’s a place to learn how to make fairy art, as well as to share your own fae creations. Right now, I have a free tutorial on how to sculpt a thumb-sized polymer clay baby fairy. If you’d like to come on over and play, visit www.candicewirth.ning.com

Hope to see you there!

I’m in Stuffed Magazine

December 31, 2008 - One Response

I feel so lucky to have one of my little stuffies in the very first issue of Somerset’s Stuffed: A Gathering of Softies Magazine!  The little kitty, Dottie, is not one of my typical dolls since I am more inclined to work with the human form. However, I really enjoyed creating her and I am already dabbling in the creation of some other animal friends.  Come take a peek :^)

Merry Christmas 2008!

I hope this beautiful Christmas day finds everyone happy and well. I have so very much to be grateful for. We are expeciting our second child (and our first is happy, healthy, and growing like a weed).  We are finally able to renovate our home. My family, friends. And my art. It’s like air to me–I can’t live without it. I am so thankful for it.

Meet the Christmas Angels. They will be the last dolls I create in

2008.  I cannot wait to get started on my girlies for 2009! The first few will be Valentine angels and fairies. Check back to see them. I will be selling them on Etsy, as well as here on my blog.

Have a holly, jolly Christmas!

Candice
